What is MATRS?

(Previously Tri-County MATRS) MATRS stands for Medication Assisted Treatment, Recovery & Support for two counties: Sauk and Columbia.  This community collaborative is part of a federal grant to expand medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid addiction across these counties.  The MATRS Collaborative gives local attendees up-to-date information through community meetings on how funding from this grant will enhance existing services and create new opportunities for treatment and long-term recovery.

MATRS is a collaborative effort between Tellurian's staff working in conjunction with Sauk and Columbia Counties' Departments of Human Services.  The Program will facilitate referrals for MAT, as well as ongoing case management services, to individuals struggling with heroin and opiate addiction.  For a 24/7 heroin and opioid hotline, call 608-402-4312.

Prevention and Response Columbia County (PARCC) is considered the "umbrella" organization of MATRS and continues to coordinate heroin and opioid initiatives within Columbia County.  To view a brochure with information on MATRS, please click here.
