WHY DO I NEED A HOME MEDICATION LOCK BOX?

You should request a FREE home medication lock box if...

  • You have small children in your home;
  • You are currently using an opioid prescription;
  • You have multiple medications in your home; and/or
  • A family member is on hospice care.

HOW CAN I SAFELY STORE MEDICATIONS IN MY HOME?

According to the Dose of Reality website, you should store medications out of sight and you should also lock them up! For more information on safe storage of medications, please click here.

HOW CAN I PROPERLY DISPOSE OF MEDICATIONS?

Prescription medications should never be flushed down the toilet or drain! Local police departments are able to collect unused or expired medications and dispose of safely.
